Spanning 16.7 acres, Lakewood Park is on Williamson Road. It offers a baseball field, a tennis court, a pool, grills, picnic tables, a recreation center, trails, and a playground. At the playground, you’ll find the staples like swings, slides, and monkey bars. Families can enjoy the day out by picnicking while the children can play at the playground.

Flag Pole Hill is a 107.1-acre metropolitan park. It is located off Northwest Highway near White Rock Lake. The play area has padded rubber and fake grass to keep everyone from hurting themselves. It’s all-inclusive, which means adults, teens, and children can all enjoy the playground. The park is equipped with swings for children with disabilities and wheelchair-bound children. There are pathways for people to walk, bicycle, and jog. There is also a dining area with picnic tables to enjoy lunch.

Klyde Warren Park spans over 5.2 acres. The park is between Pearl and St. Paul Streets in downtown Dallas. Many daily free programs are hosted there, like yoga and outdoor concerts. Families can enjoy food truck lane, where many food truck vendors are lined up. Within Klyde Warren Park, there are two other different parks. First, the Sheila and Jody Grant Children’s Park. Located at the west end of the park, between Harwood and St. Paul streets. It’s 18,000 square feet and features a 35-foot climbing tower, slide, a smaller climbing wall, and much more. They also have the My Best Friend’s Park for animals. Located on the southwest corner of Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway. Dogs can run safely and play with other dogs here because it’s a fenced-in area.

Encompassing almost 6 acres, Carpenter Park stands as the urban core’s largest park. Resting on the eastern outskirts of Downtown, close to Deep Ellum and East Dallas, this park is filled with amenities. Carpenter Park offers a diverse range of features, from a basketball court and a designated dog play area to walking paths, gardens, an interactive fountain, and a children’s environmental playscape. The Interactive fountain is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Spreading across nearly 1.75 acres, Main Street Garden is located at the eastern edge of the city’s vibrant Main Street District. This urban retreat is filled with a range of amenities.
